Come, Come, Whoever You Are

We had a fabulous time at the Bradford Literature Festival, not least because we got to spend some time with the super talented and beautifully humble Medina Tenour Whiteman. She shared a Rumi* poem as part of her poetry session and then we grabbed her later in the hotel (erm…about half midnight) and recorded this in the corridor for your enjoyment!

See more from Medina at cavemum.com

*The poem is widely attributed to Rumi but originates from Abu Saeed Abul Khair.

Singing in the hotel corridor after midnight….?

(Note to self: – avoid staying in hotels with Sufis)

But yeah, she was good. There was something about her spoken voice too when she read her poetry – she spoke right in to me. Maybe she just reminded me of someone I knew. px
