Conscious Activism: Responsible Stewardship, Sat 7 Apr
We will be running a series of workshops in 2018 on the theme of “Conscious Activism”, an activism which balances inner work on the self with the struggle for justice and harmony in the outer world.
Our first workshop is “Responsible Stewardship for our Times”.
Join us for an exploration of how we might meet the challenges and opportunities of our time with an activism which is consciously grounded in love and justice with:

On the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s death, this workshop will explore what an activism grounded in love and justice, and in the service of something higher than one’s own self, might look like. Friends of different backgrounds will share their lived experiences of the challenges and opportunities of our time, and how they draw on their beliefs and practices to meet them. They will also offer reflections on sacred texts from within their traditions which offer them inspiration and strength (these might be from holy books or sages and seekers). Attendees will be invited to ask questions, offer reflections and share texts which inspire them.
This is the first in a series of monthly workshops. The aim is to curate a series of creative and meaningful conversations about this present moment, the type of society we would like to see grow, what this might require from us, and our own personal commitment to making it a reality. The hope is that we will inspire and strengthen each other through our insights and experiences.
